Happy Holidays to you and yours from the USAWOCC Family! As you know, our editorial team encountered significant obstacles on the central axis of progress in delivering Issue Three, Volume 2. But here it is, and just in time to sit down by a warm fire during the best time of year and reflect on Army transformation. I want to thank all those who contributed articles to round out this issue. Within these pages, you will begin to peel back the impacts and need for individual understanding on how best to employ Artificial Intelligence (through prompts) to enhance strategic thought and combat effectiveness. Turning to page 22, we begin discussing and analyzing the role and value of the warrant officer as a critical component, leader, and combat multiplier within Army Transformation.
What is Army Transformation anyway? Change, within the context of the Army, has always been identified as a necessary facet for achieving individual or organizational improvement, but perhaps its effects have grown stale. Driving change on its own no longer achieves the desired ends; it is insufficient to meet the demands of the current operating environment and the changing character of war in LSCO. GEN Hodne describes change as “doing old things differently” and says that “transformation is doing entirely new things… to transform our Army.” This new concept forms the very root of Army Transformation and is nested as the number one priority across T2COM and the USAWOCC as we cross the line of departure and enter into 2026.
The USAWOCC team has accomplished a great deal over the last several years, delivering modernized educational and functional courses. Still, as expected, the world continues to evolve, and with it, so does our focus in support of the cohort and the Army. Thanks to you, the followers and readers of Strength in Knowledge…this is the warrant officer journal.
